Eddie, an ageing war veteran, feels his life has been a series of missed opportunities, spent fixing rides at a seaside amusement park. On his 83rd birthday, a tragic accident strikes, and Eddie dies trying to save a young girl from a falling cart. But death is not the end. In the afterlife, Eddie discovers that heaven is not a final destination, but a place of understanding. Here, five souls—some familiar, others strangers—guide him through the key moments of his life, shedding light on the connections he never fully grasped. As Eddie journeys through his past, from childhood to soldier to elder, he uncovers the true purpose behind his seemingly "ordinary" existence and reveals the life-changing answers to the question: "Why was I here?"
